Terms of Use
Welcome to NossaConta. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
NossaConta is a web app that lets you record and split expenses among members of a group (home, trip, friends). It's operated by Cristiano Marcelo Moreira, based in Portugal.
2. Account
To use the service you need to create an account via Clerk (Google login). You're responsible for your account's security and all actions performed through it.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of all information you record. You grant us a limited license to store and process it to operate the service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for illegal activities
- Try to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
- Share offensive, fraudulent, or rights-infringing content
- Use the service to deceive other group members
5. Availability and limitations
The service is provided "as is". We aim for 24/7 uptime but don't guarantee zero downtime. We're not liable for losses caused by:
- Temporary service interruptions
- Disputes among group members about amounts
- Human errors recording expenses
- External provider failures
6. Voluntary payments
NossaConta is currently free. There's an option to donate voluntarily via Stripe. Donations are non-refundable except where legally required.
A paid Pro plan may exist in the future. These terms will be updated before any automatic billing.
7. Intellectual property
The name NossaConta, brand, logo, source code, and design are our property.
8. Account termination
You can delete your account anytime via Settings. After deletion, your data is removed within 30 days.
9. Changes to terms
If we change these terms, we'll notify you by email and in-app.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes will be resolved in Portuguese courts.
